Very likely you are going to pour your money down the drain if you can’t pick the correct information against a pressure washer before buying one.

But you just can’t buy each pressure washer and test it for yourself.

No worries! In this Ryobi pressure washer review guide, I am surely going to rescue you from that dilemma.

How?

Here I’m going to review three quality pressure washers from Ryobi; both electric and gas units. Of course, they are of different capacities.

Good for you!

Not to mention I am going to point out both the upsides and downsides of each one.

So let’s get down to business.

3 Best Ryobi Pressure Washer Reviews

Here’s a list of Ryobi pressure washer that you can count on.

1. Ryobi 1700 PSI, 1.2 GPM Electric Pressure Washer

PROS

  • The roll cage design prevents the pressure washer from tipping over.
  • Comes with an onboard detergent tank.
  • The hose is made out of rubber instead of plastic.
  • Easy assembling process.
  • The big wheels will make your life easy while moving the unit.
  • Changing nozzles is a super easy process.
  • Adequate length of hose and electric cord.
  • This one is a sturdy unit I must say.
  • Easy and convenient storage for hose and cord.

CONS

  • Not a good unit for too heavy jobs.
  • A tad heavier than you would’ve expected. But the big wheel and the handle won’t let you feel that while moving the unit with you.
  • Not too quiet.

I must say, this particular pressure washer is a handy solution for any home users.

The cleaning unit (CU) of this is washer is 1700 x 1.2 = 2040

** Cleaning unit = PSI X GPM; The more the cleaning unit is the more the unit can remove tough dirt in quick time.

2040 CU is good for light-duty cleaning jobs like removing dirt from a car, patio, furniture, gutter, deck, concrete, sidewalks, etc.

However, 2040 CU is not a good solution for heavy-duty jobs by any means.

The hose is 25’ long and the power cord is 35’ that I believe is quite adequate for most jobs.

This very model comes with three nozzles (soap nozzle, 15-degree nozzle, and a turbo nozzle).

Ryobi claims the turbo nozzle cleans up to 50% more. I can’t guarantee the exact percentage. But I can confirm, it performs well.

Let me guess it.

You were expecting more nozzles with the package right?

I understand that. But as long as you are using this for your residential use, the three nozzles serve the purpose well enough. Of course, you have the liberty to buy other nozzles if they fit.

The quality of the spray gun looks good. It could have been better. But again, it is always what you get is what you pay for. I have gone really in-depth with an article about the best replacement spray gun.

Whether the price of this particular model is high or less is a moot point.

Because you will have the same capacity pressure washer in less price from other brands. However, the overall build of this unit justifies the price to me. To help you further, I’ve written a review on 8 top pressure washers good for cars. Do check that out.

2. Ryobi 2300 PSI, 1.2 GPM Pressure Washer

Ryobi 2300 PSI, 1.2 GPM Pressure Washer

PROS

  • Extra-large wheels (12”) that help to move the whole unit pretty easily.
  • Run by a brushless induction motor. Brushless motors run cooler and are more durable than the brushed motors.
  • A user-friendly unit.
  • Easy to assemble (shouldn’t take more than a minute).
  • Powerful motor but quiet.
  • Convenient hose and cord storage.
  • Roll cage design that makes the pressure washer a sturdy one and prevents from tipping over.
  • Comes with an onboard soap dispenser.
  • The nozzle storage has got an extra space so that you can put extra nozzle if you want.

CONS

  • The soap dispenser is not transparent. That’s why you can’t see the soap level until you pop the cap off.
  • Filling the soap dispenser is a bit difficult because of the cap position.
  • A tad more expensive than its competitors.

Well, the cleaning unit of this model is 2300 x 1.2 = 2760 CU, that gives the clear indication of its medium-duty cleaning capability.

Of course, better than the previous 1700 PSI model that I reviewed in almost all aspects. However, if you need something even more powerful and electric, check my detailed article.

You can use this unit for cleaning your car, concrete, driveway, sidewalk, building maintenance, patio, etc. Meaning this is a good enough solution for your residential use.

As this model comes with an induction motor, you can believe in its durability and ability to run without making any noise.

Once you start the motor it will keep running constantly. Don’t worry, as the motor doesn’t whine, this won’t bother you. Rather you will get the unit ready with full pressure all the time.

The hose is 25’ long and the power cord is 35’ long. This model allows using 25’ extra cord that makes it 60’ in total. I believe, this is enough for any home user.

To store the hose you will get a simple to use velcro strap, storing the power cord is as easy as pie too. Just loop, hook and place it on the small bungee style holder.

This Ryobi 2300 PSI comes with GFCI built into the power cord that increases your safety.

I must say, they positioned the GFCI (placed back from the end of the cord) so well that you won’t face any trouble whatsoever to plug in a packed outlet.

Like the previous model, this one also comes with three nozzles ( soap nozzle, 15-degree nozzle, and a turbo nozzle).

Those three nozzles are well enough to do the job, but this time you will get an extra slot to keep an extra nozzle ( in case you buy an extra nozzle of different degree ).

Except for those few minor downsides that mentioned in the “cons” section, overall this is a nice and handy unit to accomplish any medium-duty cleaning.

As a whole, an easy to use and manage pressure washer.

3. Ryobi 3100 PSI 2.5 GPM Pressure Washer

PROS

  • Easy to assemble.
  • Roll cage design that makes the unit sturdy and durable.
  • Powerful and fuel-efficient engine.
  • Like the other models, this one also comes with the onboard detergent tank.
  • Most of the time starts on the first pull.
  • The 5-in-1 quick nozzle makes your life easy to set different spray pattern.
  • Maintenance-free aluminum pump.
  • Easy to maneuver because of the big wheels (12”).

CONS

  • The hosepipe is 25’ which is shorter than the previous two models that I reviewed. Some other real users are also not satisfied with the length.

This specific Ryobi gas pressure washer has got 3100 x 2.5 = 7750 Cleaning Unit, which is of course enough to remove super stubborn dirt.

This unit is capable of handling medium to high duty cleaning jobs.

Ryobi 3100 PSI 2.5 GPM washer is equipped with Honda motor.

The engine is engineered with the idle down feature that makes the engine idle during the standby mode. So, consequently, this feature helps to increase the lifetime of the engine and decreases gas consumption.

Sounds good?

By the way, due to the idle down feature, you will hear less noise while idling.

The 5-in-1 nozzle doesn’t require you to change the nozzle for different spray pattern pressure. Just turn and set the nozzle head. Nothing more than that.

The quality of the gun and wand excels to me as well.

So, do I recommend it?

Yes, of course.

I vote for this pressure washer for any homeowner if he/she prefers a gas pressure washer to electric washer. You won’t regret the quality of the performance it provides.

Ryobi as a company has been doing business since 1943.

Ryobi is a Japanese manufacturer company but now they have expanded their business in America, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

The “Ryobi Tools” brand is owned by Techtronic Industries in Australia, New Zealand, North America, and Europe.

In America and Canada, they sell their tools mainly through Home Depot and other online shops like Amazon.

In Australia and New Zealand, Ryobi tools are sold by Bunnings Warehouse.

By the way, don’t think they only make pressure washers. They have got a wide range of power tools and tools related to lawn and garden. You can find the full product list on their page.

In 1968 they started manufacturing power tools. After that, they started manufacturing golf accessories in 1983, but they stopped producing golf goods in 2002.
